We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us. 

Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:

Payment Data. We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you choose to make purchases, such as your payment instrument number, and the security code associated with your payment instrument. Social Media Platform Data. If you use our Services to manage your social media presence (including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, and TikTok), we collect specific data required to perform these functions. This is described in detail in Section 7 (general platform handling), Section 9 (Google/YouTube-specific handling), and Section 10 (TikTok-specific handling). 

Information automatically collected 

In Short: Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services. 

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

Use of AI Technologies 

We provide AI Products through third-party service providers (“AI Service Providers”), including OpenAI and Anthropic. As outlined in this Privacy Notice, your input, output, and personal information will be shared with and processed by these AI Service Providers to enable your use of our AI Products. 

We do not use your personal data or third-party platform data (including Google/YouTube data, TikTok data, LinkedIn data, Meta data, or X data) to train third-party AI models. This includes all data obtained via the YouTube API Services and the TikTok API Services, which is strictly excluded from any model-training use in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, the TikTok Developer Terms of Service, and the TikTok API Services Terms.

  1. HOW DO WE HANDLE DATA FROM SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS?

In Short: If you choose to connect your social media accounts (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok) to our Services, we access and process specific data to provide our marketing and management tools. Google/YouTube-specific handling is detailed in Section 9. TikTok-specific handling is detailed in Section 10. 

Our Services allow you to register and log in using your third-party social media account details. Furthermore, to provide our core services — such as content automation, posting, and analytics — we may require access to additional permissions on these platforms. 

Types of Data We Access 

If you grant us permission by connecting a third-party account, we may collect and process the following data depending on the platform (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or X): 

  • Profile Information: Name, email address, profile picture, and basic profile data. 
  • Page, Channel, and Organization Data: Information regarding companies, pages, channels, or accounts you administer (e.g., Page Name, Page ID, follower counts, Instagram Professional Account details, YouTube channel ID, channel title, channel thumbnail, TikTok Open ID, TikTok Union ID, display name, avatar URL). 
  • Marketing and Ad Data (LinkedIn & Meta): Data related to your advertising accounts, specifically including Ad Account IDs, Campaign Metrics, Audience Data, and Lead Generation Data (if applicable and authorized). 
  • Engagement Metrics: Impressions, clicks, likes, comments, retweets, and other analytic data required to report on the performance of your content. 
  • YouTube-Specific Data: Video metadata (title, description, tags, category, privacy status), upload confirmation status, and public video URL. See Section 9 for full detail. 
  • TikTok-Specific Data: Video file, caption, privacy level, comment/duet/stitch settings, upload/publish status, and post ID. See Section 10 for full detail. 

How We Use This Data 

We use this data solely to: 

  • Authenticate your identity. 
  • Enable you to create, manage, and publish content to these platforms via our interface. 
  • Provide Service to You: Data obtained via any platform API is used solely to provide the subscribed service to the authorizing member or customer (e.g., campaign creation, optimization, video publishing, and performance reporting). 

Prohibited Uses 

We do not use data obtained from Social Media Platforms for: 

  • Surveillance or tracking users across the web. 
  • Determining eligibility for credit, employment, or insurance. 
  • Selling data to data brokers or third-party ad networks. 
  • Training AI/ML models. 

Compliance with Platform Terms 

We are not responsible for other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider. We recommend that you review their privacy notices to understand how they collect, use, and share your personal information: 

  1. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?

In Short: We may transfer, store, and process your information in countries other than your own. 

Our servers are located in the United States. If you are accessing our Services from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed by us in our facilities and by those third parties with whom we may share your personal information (see “WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?” above), in the United States and other countries. 

If you are a resident in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, then these countries may not necessarily have data protection laws or other similar laws as comprehensive as those in your country. However, we will take all necessary measures to protect your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable law. 

  1. INTEGRATION WITH GOOGLE / YOUTUBE API SERVICES

In Short: SocialTrend.ai uses YouTube API Services and Google OAuth to allow you to publish and manage video content on your YouTube channel. Our use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. 

Our Services integrate with YouTube via the YouTube Data API v3 and Google OAuth to enable multi-network content scheduling, publishing, and status confirmation. By connecting your YouTube channel to SocialTrend.ai, you explicitly agree to the following terms and disclosures.

By connecting your YouTube channel, you explicitly agree to be bound by: 

  1. OAuth Scopes We Request

When you connect your YouTube channel, we request the following OAuth scopes: 

  • youtube.upload — Grants SocialTrend.ai permission to upload videos to your connected YouTube channel on your behalf. 
  • youtube.readonly — Grants SocialTrend.ai permission to read minimum channel metadata (channel ID, channel title, channel thumbnail) needed to confirm which channel you have connected, and to read the status of videos you have uploaded through SocialTrend so we can display upload confirmation and the public URL back to you. 
  1. Google User Data We Access, Collect, and Process

Under the scopes above, SocialTrend.ai accesses, collects, and processes the following Google user data: 

  • Channel identity data: channel ID, channel title, channel thumbnail URL. 
  • Video metadata that you provide inside the SocialTrend.ai composer: title, description, tags, category, privacy status (public / unlisted / private), and scheduled publish time. 
  • Post-upload confirmation data for videos you have published through SocialTrend.ai: video ID, processing status, publishing status, and public URL. 

We do not access or store: YouTube comments, other users’ channels, private YouTube data unrelated to your uploads, or any data outside the scopes listed above. 

  1. How We Use This Data

Google user data obtained via YouTube API Services is used exclusively to: 

  • Display the connected channel identity (name and thumbnail) inside your SocialTrend.ai dashboard so you can confirm which channel is authorized, and select the correct channel when you have connected more than one. 
  • Upload video content you have composed in SocialTrend.ai to your connected YouTube channel. 
  • Confirm that uploads succeeded and display the resulting video status and public URL back to you inside the dashboard. 
  • Log audit records of your uploads (owner, timestamp, resulting video ID) so you and your team retain oversight of what was published on your behalf. 
  1. Limited Use — What We Do Not Do

SocialTrend.ai’s use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: 

  • We do not sell Google user data. 
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, or serving ads of any kind. 
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except (i) as necessary to provide or improve the Services subject to a contract that limits use, (ii) for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or (iii) to comply with applicable laws. 
  • We do not use Google user data to train, fine-tune, or improve any generalized/non-personalized AI or ML models. 
  • We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless (i) we have obtained your affirmative consent for specific data, (ii) it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, (iii) to comply with applicable law, or (iv) the data has been aggregated and is used for internal operations. 
  1. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion

We store only the minimum Google user data necessary to maintain the dashboard functionality described above. Channel identity data and video reference records are retained only for the duration of your active connection. All Google user data is deleted: 

  • Immediately upon your disconnection of the YouTube channel from SocialTrend.ai, or 
  • Immediately upon your account deletion request, or 
  • When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process it, 

unless such data is strictly required to be retained for billing or legal compliance purposes. 

  1. How to Revoke Access

You can revoke SocialTrend.ai’s access to your YouTube channel at any time by either method below: 

  • Disconnect the channel directly within your SocialTrend.ai account settings, or 

Upon revocation, we will delete all associated Google user data in accordance with paragraph F above. You may also request full data deletion by emailing info@socialtrend.ai. 

  1. INTEGRATION WITH TIKTOK API SERVICES

In Short: SocialTrend.ai uses TikTok Login Kit and the TikTok Content Posting API to allow you to authenticate and publish video content to your TikTok account. Our use of TikTok user data complies with the TikTok Developer Terms of Service and TikTok Platform Guidelines. 

Our Services integrate with TikTok via TikTok for Developers to enable authentication and multi-network content publishing. By connecting your TikTok account to SocialTrend.ai, you explicitly agree to the following terms and disclosures.

By connecting your TikTok account, you explicitly agree to be bound by: 

  1. OAuth Scopes We Request

When you connect your TikTok account, we request the following OAuth scopes: 

  • user.info.basic — Grants SocialTrend.ai permission to read your TikTok Open ID, Union ID, display name, and avatar URL so we can confirm which TikTok account you have connected and display it inside the SocialTrend.ai dashboard. 
  • video.upload — Grants SocialTrend.ai permission to upload video files to your TikTok account as unpublished drafts in your TikTok inbox. You review and publish these drafts from within the TikTok app. 
  • video.publish — Grants SocialTrend.ai permission to publish video content directly to your TikTok account on your behalf, using the caption, privacy level, and interaction settings you configured inside the SocialTrend.ai composer. 
  1. TikTok User Data We Access, Collect, and Process

Under the scopes above, SocialTrend.ai accesses, collects, and processes the following TikTok user data: 

  • Account identity data: Open ID, Union ID, display name, avatar URL. 
  • Video metadata that you provide inside the SocialTrend.ai composer: video file, caption, privacy level (public / friends / private per your account’s allowed levels), comment/duet/stitch permissions, and scheduled publish time. 
  • Post-publish confirmation data for videos you have published through SocialTrend.ai: publish/upload status, post ID, and public URL (where available). 

We do not access or store: your TikTok inbox messages, your followers list, other users’ account data, videos you did not publish through SocialTrend.ai, or any data outside the scopes listed above. 

  1. How We Use This Data

TikTok user data obtained via TikTok API Services is used exclusively to: 

  • Display the connected TikTok account identity (display name and avatar) inside your SocialTrend.ai dashboard so you can confirm which account is authorized. 
  • Upload video content you have composed in SocialTrend.ai to your TikTok account, either as a draft (via video.upload) or as a directly published post (via video.publish), based on the mode you selected for each post. 
  • Confirm that publishing succeeded and display the resulting post status back to you inside the dashboard. 
  • Log audit records of your publications (owner, timestamp, resulting post ID, publish mode) so you and your team retain oversight of what was published on your behalf. 
  1. Content Publishing Modes

SocialTrend.ai offers two distinct publishing modes for TikTok content, both of which you control: 

  • Direct Publish (video.publish): The video is posted directly and immediately to your TikTok account, with the caption, privacy level, and interaction settings you configured in SocialTrend.ai. You explicitly select this mode per post before publishing. 
  • Upload as Draft (video.upload): The video is uploaded to your TikTok inbox as an unpublished draft. You open the TikTok mobile app to review, edit, and publish it manually. SocialTrend.ai has no further access to the draft after upload. 
  1. What We Do Not Do

SocialTrend.ai’s use of TikTok user data complies with the TikTok Developer Terms of Service. Specifically: 

  • We do not sell TikTok user data. 
  • We do not use TikTok user data for advertising, retargeting, or serving ads of any kind. 
  • We do not transfer TikTok user data to third parties except (i) as necessary to provide the Services under a contract that limits use, (ii) for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or (iii) to comply with applicable laws. 
  • We do not use TikTok user data to train, fine-tune, or improve any generalized/non-personalized AI or ML models. 
  • We do not attempt to identify TikTok users beyond the identity information they have expressly shared with us via the OAuth grant. 
  • We do not scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to derive TikTok data that has not been granted through the authorized OAuth scopes. 
  1. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion

We store only the minimum TikTok user data necessary to maintain the dashboard functionality described above. Account identity data and post reference records are retained only for the duration of your active connection. All TikTok user data is deleted: 

  • Immediately upon your disconnection of the TikTok account from SocialTrend.ai, or 
  • Immediately upon your account deletion request, or 
  • When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process it, 

unless such data is strictly required to be retained for billing or legal compliance purposes. Video files uploaded to TikTok are transmitted directly to the TikTok API and are not retained on our servers beyond the transient upload period. 

  1. How to Revoke Access

You can revoke SocialTrend.ai’s access to your TikTok account at any time by either method below: 

  • Disconnect the account directly within your SocialTrend.ai account settings, or 
  • Remove the SocialTrend.ai application’s access from within your TikTok app: Profile → Settings and privacy → Security → Manage apps that can access your TikTok account. 

Upon revocation, we will delete all associated TikTok user data in accordance with paragraph G above. You may also request full data deletion by emailing info@socialtrend.ai. 

  1. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law. Platform-specific data is retained in accordance with platform policies. 

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. 

Retention of Third-Party Platform Data 

Data collected from third-party social media platforms is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the specific service you requested and in strict compliance with the data retention policies of those platforms. 

  • Certain Platform Data may be cached for limited periods (e.g., 24 to 48 hours for LinkedIn or Meta data). 
  • Deletion Commitment: Data is deleted immediately upon disconnection of the account (LinkedIn, Meta, X, YouTube, TikTok, or other) or upon customer request, unless such data is strictly required for billing or legal compliance purposes. For Google/YouTube data, see Section 9(F). For TikTok data, see Section 10(G). 

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information. 

  1. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures. 

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. 

Specific Security Measures: 

  • Encryption: We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for data in transit and at rest. 
  • Access Control: We maintain strict access controls to ensure only authorized personnel have access to sensitive API data. 
  • Security Audits: We conduct regular internal security audits and minimize data exposure to adhere to the security standards required by our API partners (including the requirements of the LinkedIn Marketing API Terms, Meta Platform Terms, Google API Services User Data Policy, and TikTok Developer Terms of Service). 

However, despite our safeguards, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. 

  1. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

In Short: You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time. 

Account Information 

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can contact us using the contact information provided. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. 

Withdrawing Social Media Permissions 

You may disconnect your social media accounts from our Services at any time via your account settings or directly through the security settings of the respective social media platform (e.g., LinkedIn Permitted Services, Facebook Business Integrations, X Apps and Sessions, Google Account Permissions, or TikTok “Manage apps that can access your TikTok account”). Upon disconnection, we will delete the data associated with that connection in accordance with our data retention policy. 

  1. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected.

In Short: If you choose to connect your social media accounts (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, Yotube) to our Services, we access and process specific data to provide our marketing and management tools.

Our Services allow you to register and log in using your third-party social media account details. Furthermore, to provide our core services—such as content automation, posting, and analytics—we may require access to additional permissions on these platforms.

Types of Data We Access:

If you grant us permission by connecting a third-party account, we may collect and process the following data depending on the platform (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube or X):

  • Profile Information: Name, email address, profile picture, and basic profile data.
  • Page and Organization Data: Information regarding companies, pages, or accounts you administer (e.g., Page Name, ID, follower counts, Instagram Professional Account details).
  • Marketing and Ad Data (LinkedIn & Meta): Data related to your advertising accounts, specifically including Ad Account IDs, Campaign Metrics, Audience Data, and Lead Generation Data (if applicable and authorized).
  • Engagement Metrics: Impressions, clicks, likes, comments, retweets, and other analytic data required to report on the performance of your content.


How We Use This Data:

We use this data solely to:

  1. Authenticate your identity.
  2. Enable you to create, manage, and publish content to these platforms via our interface.
  3. Provide Service to You: Data obtained via the LinkedIn Marketing API (and other platforms) is used solely to provide the subscribed service to the authorizing member or customer (e.g., campaign creation, optimization, and performance reporting).


Prohibited Uses:

We do not use data obtained from Social Media Platforms for:

  • Surveillance or tracking users across the web.
  • Determining eligibility for credit, employment, or insurance.
  • Selling data to data brokers or third-party ad networks.


Compliance with Platform Terms:

We are not responsible for other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider. We recommend that you review their privacy notices to understand how they collect, use, and share your personal information:

8. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?

In Short: We may transfer, store, and process your information in countries other than your own.

Our servers are located in the United States. 9. INTEGRATION WITH THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND YOUTUBE API

Our Services integrate with various third-party platforms to enable multi-network content scheduling, publishing, and analytics tracking. Specifically, Social Trend AI utilizes YouTube API Services to facilitate your interactions with YouTube. By using our YouTube integration, you agree to be bound by the following terms and disclosures: 

Google & YouTube Terms: By connecting your YouTube account, you explicitly agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (available at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and the Google Privacy Policy (available at https://policies.google.com/privacy). 

Data Collection and Purpose: Social Trend AI accesses, collects, and processes specific data via YouTube API Services, including but not limited to your channel profile information, video metadata, and channel/video performance analytics. This data is processed strictly to allow you to schedule video uploads, manage content, and view cross-platform analytics metrics directly inside your personal Social Trend AI user dashboard.

Data Storage and Sharing: We store only the minimal API data necessary to maintain dashboard functionality. We do not sell, rent, or share your YouTube user data or API data with third-party advertisers, external data brokers, or any other entities. 

Revocation of Access: You can revoke Social Trend AI’s access to your YouTube data at any time. You can manage or disconnect these permissions directly within your Social Trend AI account settings, or globally by removing our application’s access via the Google Security Settings page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

10. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law. Platform-specific data is retained in accordance with platform policies.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Retention of Third-Party Platform Data:

Data collected from third-party social media platforms is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the specific service you requested and in strict compliance with the data retention policies of those platforms.

  • For example, certain Platform Data may be cached for limited periods (e.g., 24 to 48 hours for LinkedIn or Meta data).
  • Deletion Commitment: Data is deleted immediately upon disconnection of the LinkedIn (or other social platform) account or upon customer request, unless such data is strictly required for billing or legal compliance purposes.


When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information.

You may disconnect your social media accounts from our Services at any time via your account settings or directly through the security settings of the respective social media platform (e.g., LinkedIn Permitted Services, Facebook Business Integrations, or X Apps and Sessions). Upon disconnection, we will delete the data associated with that connection in accordance with our data retention policy.
